He narrated Oxygen’s true crime hit One Deadly Mistake, and was the voice of Mucinex for 8 years. John has lent his voice to such brands as Visa, Toyota, Kia, Nikon, Nestle, Bud Light, Pennzoil, Opdivo, Qualcomm and Blackrock as well as FOX, ESPN, NBC Sports, FOX Sports, the NFL, NASCAR, and 60 Minutes.

John’s first acting experience came as a high school freshman in a show called Ten November. Not an overtly religious person, John found meaning in this collaborative art form, and knew he wanted to use his gifts to serve in this way. As an actor and producer in Chicago’s famed storefront theatre scene in the 2000’s, John worked with playwrights on new works, serving their words and visions and developing his craft. He was the Director of New Play Development at Stage Left Theatre for years, bringing new plays to Chicago audiences. When John was cast in Peter and the Starcatcher on Broadway in 2012, he brought that ethos of service to his work in New York, where he appeared extensively on Broadway, off-Broadway and in television.

John is now living in Los Angeles, in his home state of California, with his wife and daughter. Since moving to LA, he has appeared on FX’s American Horror Story and Paramount’s Evil. He continues to voice commercials for Visa, Wells Fargo, Firehouse Subs and many more.

"Sanders has proven himself to be one of the greats of the current stage."
